Summer may officially be over-but it is still BBQ season in Calgary! Yesterday felt like a burger day so I made some home made turkey burgers. They were delicious and were quick to make!
1lb extra lean ground turkey
1/2 a red onion diced
1tbsp hot sauce
1tbsp grainy mustard
1 tbsp minced garlic
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl well and then make even size patties (4-6)
Cook approx 6-7 minutes each side
on BBQ
Garnish with avocado, lettuce and tomato or get creative and do whatever tickles your fancy!
I bought Ezekiel whole grain buns, try and use a good whole grain bun that isn't made of white flour for added fibre that will keep you full longer.
Yam fries are baked for 20 minutes at 375 then broiled on high for about 5 minutes.
