Happy Sunday! For me, I like to use Sunday to get ready for the week. I usually grocery shop and do food prep so that I have all my meals made in the fridge that are easy to grab and keep me on track!
Being prepared will keep you from reaching for something unhealthy when you're starving and have to grab something quick. How often have you planned to eat healthy but on a quest for lunch end up ordering something fattening or stumble across a bakery( damn Sunterra) giving out cookie samples????
This doesn't have to be time consuming- you can do something as simple as baking some chicken, portioning some salads, fruits and veggies or making a batch of brown rice.
Clean up your grocery list and shop the perameters of the store...if the food you are buying doesn't expire, it probably isn't good for you.
If you have a slow cooker, use it! I just dug mine out of hiding and made jambalaya last week which was absolutely clean, filling and delicious ank kept my boyfriend and I fed all week. You prep once, throw it all together and come back 4 hours later to a nice hot hearty meal! Tonight I am making balsamic chicken in the slow cooker and some other goodies to fuel the week-stay tuned!
